Study Looking for Families To Participate

If you have a child diagnosed with either Down's Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder, and have another child who is in preschool, you may be interested in this study.  For more information about the purpose of the study, and exactly what to expect, feel free to contact Emily Tremain (see her credentials below) at    eat2@alfred.edu

There are no geographical requirements.  You can live anywhere in the state of CT.  I would encourage all parents who have a preschooler that has a sibling with either Down Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder to see what this study is all about.  It doesn't hurt to see if it will benefit your children, or future generations of children.

She is looking for 20 preschoolers in each of the above mentioned categories whose parents would allow them to be observed for 2 15-minute periods in their pre-school classrooms.  Teachers would be asked to fill out a BASC rating scale as well.  If you know of any families who would be willing to learn more about this study, could you please ask them to contact Emily Tremain at eat2@alfred.edu Her goal is to collect data in late winter early spring.  Please let me know if you don't think there are any families that would be interested.  Thanks for your help.
