The School Readiness council is pleased to let the community know that we have begun the process of creating a plan to address the issues that face our families with young children. We are currently in the stages of gathering information from our families and residents of Ansonia. Over the course of the next two months, there will be a series of Community forums. At these forums, we will be asking all of you to tell us what you think Ansonia needs to create a better community for young children. We will also listen to what you think Ansonia already offers that is great, and your suggestions for areas of improvement. Please visit PreschoolTools.org in the upcoming weeks to find a location and time that is convenient for you. We would love to hear from you.
Volunteers are needed! We are looking for adults who would like to participate in our community plan. Volunteers are needed for a variety of jobs including: acting as facilitator or recorder during listening forum meetings, researching data from a home computer, preparing refreshments for meetings, providing child care during meetings, and a host of other small but important jobs. Please contact Karen Hicks at firstname.lastname@example.org or 203 893-0065 if you are interested in becoming involved.
